Bukit Lawang is a small village situated 90 kilometers northwest of Medan, the capital city of North Sumatra, Indonesia. It is the best place in Sumatra to organize a trek trough the jungle and spot a great variety of wildlife, including orangutans.
Lake Toba is an immense volcanic lake covering an area of 1,707 km² with an island in its centre. It is located in Sumatra, west of Indonesia, and is the largest volcanic lake in the world. Samosir island within the lake is an island within the island of Sumatra.
